QS World Rankings 2016 – Nursing Success

The sixth edition of the QS World University Rankings by Subject, released this week, have ranked Ulster University among the world’s elite institutions in nursing.

Nursing at Ulster University was ranked 6th in the UK and 41st in the world.

Professor Owen Barr, Head of School of Nursing, said: “The School of Nursing has continued to advance academic excellence through our excellence in teaching innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, our world-leading research and the collaborative partnerships we have forged with health care providers regionally, nationally and internationally.

“I am delighted that we have been recognised as a global leader in the field of nursing and look forward, with my colleagues, to building on this success.”

The QS World University Rankings by Subject ranks the world’s top universities in individual subject areas, covering 42 subjects in 2016.  The rankings highlight the world’s top universities, based on academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact.

By shining a spotlight on specialised excellence, the rankings aim to help prospective students identify the world’s leading schools in their chosen field.
